Guacamole Recipe

This guacamole recipe is easy to make, full of healthy fats, and extremely flavorful.

This recipe serves 2 to 4 people and is incredibly simple to modify to accomodate for larger portions.

Serve over your favorite meat, fish, veggie taco, with tortilla chips, or even veggie sticks.

Prep Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe avocados, halved and pitted

  • 1/2 lime, juiced

  • 1/2 cup diced plum or vine-ripe tomatoe

  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

  • 1 small garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 cup diced red onion

  • sea salt to taste (approx. 1/2 teaspoon sea salt)

  • Fresh ground cracked pepper to taste

  • Optional ingredients - 3 dashes of tabasco, red pepper chili flakes, poblano, or jalapeno pepper

Instructions

  • Scoop the flesh of the avocado into a small bowl. Pour lime juice over avocado.  Use less or more lime depending on how citrusy you like your guacamole.

  • Use the back of a fork to mash the avocado and lime juice together.

  • Season with sea salt, add fresh ground cracked pepper to taste.

  • Add the diced tomatoes, cilantro, onion and garlic to the bowl and gently fold into the avocado mixture.

  • Add optional ingredients.

Servings 3 to 5 people

Variations

If desired simply omit cilantro altogether or consider adding in some finely-diced poblano peppers instead.

Want to add some heat? Add optional ingredients like tabasco, red pepper chili flakes, habanero pepper, or jalapeno pepper.
